NHTSA Complaint #11445646 — 2015 NISSAN ROGUE

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound, and the vehicle inadvertently decelerated and then stalled. The failure nearly caused a collision. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with rear differential failure. The rear differential needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN.
