The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that while in traffic on an incline, the hybrid battery was running however, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The message to “pull over safely, check charging system” was displayed. The vehicle was pulled off the road. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the wiring harness needed to be replaced because there was no power going to the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 111,000.
