NHTSA Complaint #11432917 — 2013 FORD FIESTA

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while his wife was driving uphill at 5 MPH, the transmission inadvertently lost power and the vehicle rolled back downhill. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated after replacing the battery himself, the warning message "transmission malfunction" appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.
