The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 20-25 mph, the vehicle stalled with the transmission warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to restart and was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.
