The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue Select n/a. The contact stated while leaving her driveway, the vehicle began to jerk while shifting into gear. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAD A DEFECTIVE CVT CODE, P1740. THE CONSUMER STATED THE FAILURE SHOULD BE A RECALL OR BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
