The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact called the local dealer and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at low speeds in traffic, the vehicle loss motive power without warning. The contact stated that a police officer assisted him to push the vehicle to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where they replaced the fuel pump relay. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the bypass relay and wiring needed to be replaced. The contact called local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
