The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V213000 (Steering) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving 35 mph, the steering wheel ceased with the power steering assist warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over, turned off, and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer was contacted however, informed the contact that the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.
