The vehicle was restarted and the functionality returned however, the failure recurred after several seconds. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The vehicle was diagnosed with a high-pressure fuel system failure. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 17,018.
