NHTSA Complaint #11418773 — 2019 NISSAN ROGUE

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance sensor would active independently while driving at various speeds. During the malfunction, the forward collision avoidance warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where she had the fault code was cleared from the system. The contact called a dealer and was informed that the vehicle might have collided with an object for the sensor to illuminate. The contact insisted that the vehicle had not struck an object.
