Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the bracket that connects the driver’s side door to the body of the vehicle had fractured causing the driver’s side door to not close properly. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing the door bracket to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 16,655.
