Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERE RUSTING AND CORROSION ON SEVERAL SECTIONS INCLUDING THE TAILGATE, THE WHEEL WELLS AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING PARTS AND PIECES OF RUSTED MATERIALS HAD DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AND FELL ONTO THE ROADWAY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT YET DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
