Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH FAILED TO LATCH PROPERLY. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO ANDERSON FORD OF ST. JOSEPH (2207 N BELT HWY, ST JOSEPH, MO 64506) FOR A RECALL REPAIR UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V331000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES, STRUCTURE) YEARS PRIOR HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH PROPERLY DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER AND THE CONTACT NEEDED TO PAY FOR THE DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,200.
