Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SOUL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V608000 (STEERING) AND 20V750000 (ENGINE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT JERRY SMITH KIA (101 N HILL BLVD, BURLINGTON, WA 98233) TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR HOWEVER, THE LOCAL DEALER STATED THAT THE KIA CYBER SYSTEM WAS HACKED AND THE SYSTEM WAS DOWN. THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT SCHEDULED NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER WHO VERIFIED THE DEALER INFORMATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
