Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SOUL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO STALL WITH AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ELHART KIA (870 CHICAGO DR, SUITE B, HOLLAND, MI 49423) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V120000 (ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS 10,000 MILES OVER THE MILEAGE FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
