Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING CEASED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO OPERATE WITH STEERING IN MANUAL MODE. LIBERTY FORD VERMILION (4215 LIBERTY AVE, VERMILION, OH 44089, (440)967-6191) WHERE THE DTC CODES WERE CLEARED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MONTROSE FORD (3960 MEDINA RD, FAIRLAWN, OH 44333, (330) 666-0711) AND THE COMPUTER WAS RESET AND DTC CODES CLEARED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 122,000.
