Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP RENEGADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS AT STAND STILL, WHEN THE IGNITION FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT STATED BATTERY AND ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC) WARNING LIGHT WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE NOTICED THE VEHICLE HAD NO OIL BUT THERE WAS NOT LEAK. THE CONTACT STATED SHE ADDED OIL AND CHANGED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LOCAL DEALER AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM SPRING LOCATED AT 21027 I-45, SPRING, TX 77388, (281) 715-6927 AND WAS BEING SERVICED AT THE MOMENT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED REPAIRED AS OF YET. UPON INVESTIGATION THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V524000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
