Consumer Description

WHILE VEHICLE IS COMING TO A HARD STOP OR OCCASIONALLY WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THERE IS A LOUD NOISE HEARD FROM THE ENGINE AREA. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONDITION HAS EXISTED SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THE NOISE HEARD IS DUE TO THE TURBO UNIT HITTING THE RADIATOR AND SPECIAL TAPE COULD BE APPLIED TO DAMPED OR ELIMINATE THE NOISE. THE REPAIR WAS $550. BULLETIN 19-NA-098 WAS REFERENCED FROM CHEVY.
