TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE CHALLENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EDWARDS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (1010 34TH AVE, COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA 51501) AS THE MECHANIC WAS ABOUT TO PERFORM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE. THE DEALER EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THE FIRE WAS DUE TO THE ALTERNATOR. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
