Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START-UP, THE ENGINE MISFIRE WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A SECONDARY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CONFIRMED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
