Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH IN HEAVY RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CEASED OPERATING. THE CONTACT SAFELY EXITED THE ROADWAY ONTO THE SHOULDER AND CALLED FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
