Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL GAUGE INCORRECTLY INDICATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND FAILED TO RESTART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A MESSAGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GILLIE HYDE FORD LOCATED AT 610 HAPPY VALLEY RD, GLASGOW, KY 42141, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT YET NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
