Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TESLA MODEL X. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TOUCH SCREEN MEDIA CONTROL UNIT FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TESLA (470 LANCASTER AVE, DEVON, PA 19333), AND THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED AND THE COMPUTER WAS REVIEWED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON ANOTHER OCCASION WHILE DRIVING, THE SCREEN DEACTIVATED AND RETURNED TO NORMAL FUNCTION INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE CAUSED THE TURN SIGNALS, AIR CONDITIONER AND WIPERS TO LOSE FUNCTIONALITY. ADDITIONALLY, THE FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE'S DRIVING RANGE TO BE LIMITED TO 40 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
