Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED A TURN AND THE STEERING CEASED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
