Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 KIA SOUL. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS THE ENGINE LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BURLINGTON KIA LOCATED AT( 4428 US-130, BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ 08016 609-531-0771) WERE THE DIAGNOSIS WAS ENGINE SLUDGE (ENGINE NEEDED TO BE CLEANED OUT. THE ENGINE WAS CLEANED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED JIFFY LUBE OIL CHANGES CAUSED THE ENGINE TO CEASE. CONSUMER AFFAIRS OF KIA WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. CONSUMER AFFAIRS STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE A NEW ENGINE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,097.
