NHTSA TRACKING # 11308677 - ADDITIONAL AND UPDATED INFO. THE PROBLEM WITH OUR VEHICLE IS THAT THE POWER ASSIST MOTOR IS MALFUNCTIONING CAUSING INTERMITTENT POWER SUPPLY TO THE POWER ASSIST MOTOR, CAUSING THE CAR TO BECOME UNABLE TO STEER OR LURCH UNEXPECTEDLY TO THE LEFT WHILE UNDERWAY. THIS IS LIFE THREATENING. THE NHTSA APPROVED A RECALL ON THE 2015 SUBURBAN FOR SPECIFIC DATES OF BUILD, FOR WHICH OURS IS NOT INCLUDED ACCORDING TO GM. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 14V19000 IS IN RELATION TO THIS ISSUE. APPARENTLY. OUR VEHICLE HAS THE SAME ISSUE THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO COVER MODELS MADE WHEN OURS WAS MADE. AGAIN, THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING FAILURE THAT IS JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN UNLESS GM CORRECTS THE ISSUE.
