Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE DRIVER WAS INFORMED THAT THE BELTS AND CLUTCHES IN THE TRANSMISSION WERE SLIPPING WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NEITHER A DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,529.
