Consumer Description
THE REAR VIEW CAMERA SETTING ENGAGES WHENEVER THE CAR IS PUT INTO REVERSE. THE DRIVER COMES TO RELY ON THE BACKUP CAMERA. SEVERAL TIMES THE BACKUP CAMERA FAILS TO TURN ON AND CAN NOT BE MANUALLY TURNED ON. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A CORRELATION BETWEEN TURNING THE CAR ON AND PUTTING IT INTO REVERSE QUICKLY HOWEVER I CAN NOT REPRODUCE THIS AT WILL. THIS HAS HAPPENED 10+ TIMES. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED ON SOME BUT NOT ALL OCCASIONS THAT AFTER REVERSING, WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, SUDDENLY THE BACKUP CAMERA DOES ENGAGE ALTHOUGH I'M NOW DRIVING FORWARD. I'M CONCERNED THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ACCUSTOMED TO USING THE BACKUP CAMERA WILL GET IN A CRASH OR RUN INTO A PERSON WHEN THE BACKUP CAMERA INTERMITTENTLY FAILS.
