Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD OF COLUMBIA (115 S JAMES CAMPBELL BLVD, COLUMBIA, TN 38401) WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V209000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE WOULD RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT, DUE TO THE RECALL REMEDY, THE ENGINE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF WHEN OVERHEATING. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE OVERHEATING, THE ENGINE CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-25222543, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,000.
