Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 JEEP PATRIOT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V907000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AT MAJOR WORLD CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (50-30- NORTHERN BLVD, LONG ISLAND CITY, NY 11101, (844) 349-2128). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE WITH THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT NO FAILURE CODE WAS FOUND. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIR WAS REMEDIED BY THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER IF THE FAILURE SHOULD RECUR. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 71595328. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
