TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V864000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TAILGATE CONTIOUSLY OPENED. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH AND PULLING A TRAILER, THE TAIL GATE OPENED AND STRUCK THE TRAILER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROSSROADS FORD OF INDIAN TRAIL (88 DALE JARRETT BLVD, INDIAN TRAIL, NC 28079, (704) 283-8521) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS WAS FULL OF WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS25131842-R4K3S7, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,100.
