Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: V08 (EMISSIONS); HOWEVER, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED EVER SINCE THE REMEDY WAS PERFORMED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS SPUTTERING WHILE DRIVING AND FUMES WERE PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL ECONOMY WENT FROM APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES PER GALLON TO 16 MILES PER GALLON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BONIFACE-HIERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (1775 E MERRITT ISLAND CAUSEWAY, MERRITT ISLAND, FL 32952, (321) 452-8181) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PER THE MANUFACTURER RECALL WAS UPDATED CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
