TL* THE CONTACT'S FAMILY MEMBER OWNED A 2016 KIA SORENTO. AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES AND PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT SUDDENLY CAUGHT FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. THE DRIVER QUICKLY EXITED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
