Consumer Description

POWER WENT OUT ON STEERING, THIS MAKES IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER THE CAR IN TRAFFIC, THERE IS A RECALL ON 2008-2011 FORD ESCAPES; 14V28400 - 05/29/2014. FORD # PSCM. 14S05. TOOK CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY REFUSE TO HONOR RECALL AND SAY MY CAR IS EXCLUDED FROM RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT HAS EXACTLY THE RECALL PROBLEM. COST TO FIX IS OVER $2,500, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS SINCE THIS PROBABLY EXCEED THE VALUE OF THE CAR. WHY DO THEY NOT HONOR THE RECALL ON MY CAR. PLEASE ADVISE.
