TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 AUDI Q7. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO PARK. THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE PARKING BRAKE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE TO REMOVE A CHILD FROM THE REAR SEAT. HE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DOORS LOCKED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DOORS USING THE KEY FOB. THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DOORS. AUDI LYNBROOK (855 SUNRISE HWY, LYNBROOK, NY 11563, (516) 887-5300) WAS CONTACTED AND WAS ABLE TO INSTRUCT THE POLICE ON HOW TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,765.
