TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CONTINUED DRIVING TO HER DESTINATION AND LATER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 37662491. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 117,000.
