Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM 2500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED TO THE RIGHT ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RIGHT TIRES WERE WORE DOWN DUE TO THE FAILURE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V021000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT CALLED QUALITY CHRYSLER OF GREENWOOD (LOCATED AT 1525 SC-72, GREENWOOD, SC 29649, (864) 642-0668) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYONE QUALIFIED TO WELD THE NUTS TO THE ADJUSTER SLEEVE. THE CONTACT DECLINED TO HAVE THE REMEDY COMPLETED ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,005.
