Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RAYMOND CHEVROLET (118 IL-173, ANTIOCH, IL 60002, (800) 989-5939) WHERE THEY STATED THERE WAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE FUEL PUMP MODULE, FILLER HOLE, AND FUEL TANK, WHICH WERE REPLACED. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED TO PROVIDE ACCURATE READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHICH RESULTED IN A DISPUTE ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR WAS DAMAGED BY THE MECHANIC. THE DEALER THREATENED TO CHARGE THE CONTACT FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 220,000.
