Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KIA SOUL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40-45 MPH THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BOMBING NOISE. THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND FIRE WAS EMERGING FROM THE HOOD. ALL THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PRIDE KIA OF LYNN: 793 LYNNWAY, LYNN, MA 01901(781) 596-1010 BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO PROVIDED CASE NUMBER 13266509 HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
