Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 KIA SPORTAGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE GAUGE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE MADE A KNOCKING SOUND. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD IT TOWED TO HER RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED DICK HANNAH KIA (3400 NE AUTO MALL DR, VANCOUVER, WA 98662) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED THE MILEAGE TO BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V101000 (ENGINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
