Consumer Description

CRUISE CONTROL MALFUNCTION DUE TO A SENSOR MALFUNCTION IN THE STEERING COLUMN. AS SOON AS I BEGIN DRIVING, THE MALFUNCTION MESSAGE BEGINS AND REPEATS CONSTANTLY AS I DRIVE. THIS MALFUNCTION DISABLES ALL OF THE FEATURES ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE WARNING MESSAGE APPEARS IN THE NAVIGATION SCREEN REPEATEDLY WHEN DRIVING. IT IS DISTRACTING AND PREVENTS ME FROM USING HANDS FREE FUNCTIONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DEALER ADVISES IT IS $1,000 TO REPAIR. I NEVER USED THE CRUISE CONTROL, NOR DO I NEED IT.
