Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 35 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER HAD TO USE EXCESSIVE STRENGTH TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART AND "POWER ASSIST FAULT" APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE CONTACT'S FATHER AND TAKEN TO TYLER FORD (2626 S SW LOOP 323, TYLER, TX 75701, (800) 788-7876). THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING DIAGNOSED AND MAY BE REPAIRED IF THE FAILURE WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
