Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL INSIDE THE VEHICLE THREE TIMES AND A KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE OIL WAS CHECKED AND THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF FUEL ON THE ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA WORLD (LOCATED AT 1 AUTOCENTER DR, LOUISVILLE, KY 40299, (502) 398-6398) AND THE ENGINE OIL WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE ENGINE OIL AND FUEL DILUTION IN SIMILAR VEHICLES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,452. *BF *JB
