Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD TAURUS. WHILE EXITING THE GARAGE, THE STEERING LOST POWER AND THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. IN ADDITION, THE "POWER STEERING SYSTEM REQUIRED MAINTENANCE" MESSAGE APPEARED. THE CONTACT CALLED SIOUX FALLS FORD AT 605-361-9601 (LOCATED AT 4901 W. 26TH ST, SIOUX FALLS, SD 57106) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED AND UPDATED THE POWER STEERING SOFTWARE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.
