Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 BMW 528I. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND "DRIVE TRAIN MALFUNCTION" DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALER (BMW OF DALLAS, 6200 LEMMON AVE, DALLAS, TX) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
