Consumer Description

I STOPPED FOR LUNCH AND WHEN I CAME BACK OUT AND TURNED ON THE CAR THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. I COULD BARELY MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO MOVE THE VEHICLE IN ANY DIRECTION. I HAD MY CHILDREN WITH ME AND IT WAS REALLY HOT OUTSIDE SO I MANAGED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE VERY CAREFULLY TO THE NEAREST WALMART SUPERCENTER WHERE I COULD TAKE THE CHILDREN INSIDE AND TAKE CARE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CAR GOT TOWED TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WOULD COST ME 2200 DOLLARS TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE MY CAR WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000. THIS WAS EXTREMELY UPSETTING BECAUSE THE RECALL SPECIFICALLY SAYS WHAT PARTS OF THE VEHICLE ARE AFFECTED BUT IS VIN SPECIFIC. FORD WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
