TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 VOLVO XC70. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL ODOR DETECTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. *BF .. CONSUMER STATED VOLVO HAD A RECALL ON FUEL PUMPS IN SOUTHERN STATES ONLY.*JB
