Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING INTO THE OIL AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR KEPT RANDOMLY ILLUMINATING. BOSAK HONDA MICHIGAN CITY (710 HWY 20, MICHIGAN CITY, IN 46360, 1-219-874-4293) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER SENT NOTIFICATION OF CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 1245A2 FOR A PRODUCT AND SOFTWARE UPDATE. THE DEALER SERVICED THE MANUFACTURER CAMPAIGN, WHICH WAS NOT A MANUFACTURER RECALL, BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED ANY FUEL SYSTEM OR ENGINE RECALLS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,800. *TT*JB
