Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 RAM 1500. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN COLD TEMPERATURES, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. ALSO, THE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" MESSAGE DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROWN DODGE (2120 CHATMAN RD, CHATTANOOGA, TN) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC RACK AND PINION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
