Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND METAL SHRAPNEL POURED OUT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LEFT ARM INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000. *DT*JB
