Consumer Description

AFTER KIA DEALERSHIP INSTALLED THE KNOCK SENSOR SOFTWARE UPDATE IN OCTOBER 2018, THE ENGINE WENT INTO LIMP HOME MODE WITH ENGINE LIGHT BLINKING IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2019. DEALERSHIP ADVISED ME ENGINE FAILED AND WOULD BE REPLACED UNDER KIA WARRANTY FOR THIS ISSUE. VEHICLE HAS 57,000 MILES ON IT. PROBLEM NOW IS DEALERSHIP SAYS NEW ENGINE WON'T BE SENT TO THEM FOR 3-4 WEEKS. THEN ADDITIONAL WEEK TO INSTALL. IT'S ALREADY BEEN THERE OVER TWO WEEKS. THEY DID PROVIDE LOANER. CORRECTION THIS OCCURRED IN DECEMBER 2018, NOT JANUARY 2019.
